2nd Year – Plan well in advance

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are well and enjoying the Christmas Season.

I am finally on holiday and back in London. In order for me to enjoy this holiday I have planned to complete my coursework’s within a certain time frame, so that I can relax and go into the new year without worrying about assignments. I think it is good to plan in advance what assignments you want to do before the holidays, in order to have less assignments during the holidays and not leaving it last minute.

Other than my assignments as I did mention before I am planning to move out of my current accommodation. I am still reconsidering moving back to London but my mum says I should just finish off my 2nd year within that accommodation and for 3rd year move back to London completely, which does sound like a good idea but the main question is can I survive for that long? Four months with people that are not so clean. I think I am going to take my mum advice and just corporate with them and stay till the end.

Hope everyone has a lovely Holiday and make sure you relax and try do something different this holiday e.g. boat ride, bus tours around London, Business events etc.

2nd Year – New Accommodation

Helloo Helloo!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are alllll well!

I am currently in my new accommodation.
I am 2 weeks early because I am helping out with Tour guides and Graduations at Uni.

Whilst I am two weeks early, I have actually started looking at my new modules and assignment briefs in order to prepare me in advance with the modules that I will be taking on. So far it is going well, I am a bit lonely because I do not have any of my house-mates within the house but other than that so far so good!

Here is a little clip I put together to show you my new accommodation:

Take Care!

1st Year – Ready to move in?

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well!

I thought today I would give you at list of the essentials; you may need when moving into university, since I did not have a guideline for what I needed and was remembering things last minute, which made me unorganised.

Below is the list of things I can currently think of. If I am missing anything please do not hesitate to comment below, in order for me to add it onto the list.

(If you decide to buy new equipment for university or your new home, the best place I suggest is Ikea; they are reasonable with their prices and the quality. You can buy, reserve, check stock online at: http://www.ikea.com)

1st year at University essentials:
• Food for the first few days – when your moving in, you don’t want to forget to bring food with you, in order to survive the first few days, then you could go out shopping when settled in. (e.g. Noodles, juice, hot chocolate etc. depending on what you like)
• Pillows preferably 2 or more
• Bed sheet & duvet cover – find out the size of your bed
• Toilet Rolls
• Cutlery (forks, knife, spoon, tea spoon), sharp knives, wooden spoon, cups, set of plates & bowls
• Pots, pans, bowls, chopping board, can opener, potato peeler, baking tray, empty container to store food, mixing bowl
• Blender (if you love to cook like me)
• Foil, cling fill, sandwich bags
• Deodorant, tooth brush, toothpaste, sponge, towel
• Washing up liquid
• Washing up powder & comforter
• Hair brush, straightener & accessories that you like or may need
• Bulks of pens, notepads – things you will need for lessons
• Comfortable house slippers & maybe a dressing gown
• Pajamas, vest, pants & clothes
• Rug for the bathroom/shower
• Medicine – just in case you get a headache or so
• Phone charger – any technology you want to bring along with you
• Mini laundry basket – to carry your laundry in

That’s all I can think of at the moment, but if I have missed anything please remind me in the comment box provided below.

This is what I got, although you do not need as many plates & bowls, but I considered my visitors that I may have during my stay in uni.

Its up to you if you get one! Just find it easier to carry my laundry in.

1st year – Over and done with!

Over and done with commuting! Living here is not too bad, it is much easier, flexible and more accessible to the useful resources (such as the library, which closes at 2AM!!!)
The only struggle I am having is the room space. The room is a box literally (a bit of over exaggeration).
However I am only here for 5 more months and have decided to just stay in this accommodation and “ride out”(survive) the five months.
I was given the option to change accommodation (with the charge of £52.00 to change accommodation).
Although “apparently” I have one of the cheapest accommodations and close by to the university, which is what I wanted Cheap & Close to the university.
Here is a video for you to see where I am currently living:

1st Year – Happy New Year 2014!!

Hello Everyone,

Happy New year! Hope you are all well and blessed!

Just a quick update on what has been going on so far:

(I know I have not been blogging often, but bare with me some much is going on! Thanks Love you loads!)

I have finally moved into my accommodation at university! My room is small compared to the room I have back at home and it is costing me roughly £1,250 every term, which is not too bad, since my student loan covers that cost and still have a little bit of money left over.

However I am jobless!!! It is so hard getting a job here, due to the fact the student population is sooo high and there are not many shops here, making the employment industry high of competition and employers are spoilt of choice! I am not giving up. I  must, must, must get a job to keep me sane and gaining money at the side incase of emergencies!

2nd Term of being in first year, it is a bit more tense because there is more coursework to be done and we are more independent meaning the teachers expect us to know what to do and when to do it!

There is a quick update on what has happened so far!

Please Please Please do not hesitate to state your opinion and feel free to ask any questions!

Kind Regards,

Juliana x
